 El Castillo The tour to the Nicaraguan native village “El Castillo” is a boat trip, leaving directly from the lodge. The journey by boat is really great to observe an incredible amount of animals, whose habitat is Rio San Carlos and Rio San Juan. For example birds, monkeys, turtles or crocodiles. We will pass Nicaraguan Immigration in the village of Boca San Carlos. We then enter Rio San Juan and pass by the amazingly changed countryside. We get pleasure from seeing little huts of local people, who live along the river. Later on we will visit the Bartola reserve to enjoy the beautiful nature. From there the tour takes us to a nice typical Nicaraguan lunch at the village of El Castillo. After the lunch we visit the fortress of El Castillo with its incredible view over the San Juan River. |
